I guess yesterday didn't go entirely according to plan!
In the end I ran free - got some mochi icecream (though they only had coconut flavour, boo!) and went shopping and sat by the Lough with Orla in the sun - fun days :)
I didn't go juggling, and instead decided to go home and do some writing.
My laptop, it seems, had entirely other ideas, and in coordination with the big crack which runs all the way down the screen, it has decided to go on strike, and will not turn on unless I wipe the hard-drive. Fun times, eh? :)

I think I will compromise, and will do as much work as I can get done today - followed by a trip to get dinner and mochi icecream, and then will visit the Cork Circus Community for some juggling!
If I get home early enough this evening, I'll do some writing :)
Yay!

Today, I am mostly wanting to:
Go to the park, and hope that kids aren't hogging all the swings.
Eat mochi Icecream.
Go juggling and fire poi-ing.
Write.
Today I am mostly:
Sitting in my office attempting to be responsible and do college work, and not escape and run free in the sun.

My head kinda feels like it's full of cotton wool today...
Back home from Rome now - still quite wish I was over there.
Feeling quite conflicted about some things at the moment which are making life a little difficult.
Might have to make a decision on things quite soon...

A friend of mine, Wayne Nichols, is involved in a new comic with Alan Grant and Simon Bisley - Church of Hell. The first volume has been made available online as a free download!
I'm really liking it, and looking forward to the next issue...
If you happen to have a few minutes free, go check it out - it's really great!

I'm hugely looking forward to Itzacon this weekend. I've had a pretty trying week in a bunch of ways, and I'm planning on going home and resting tonight so that I have energy enough to enjoy the weekend in Galway! I really need a break...
Hope to see lots of you folks there!
Hope to see lots of you folks there!
I don't get how some people cannot do absolutely anything unless you organise it for them and make it stupidly easy for them to do.
Or how they can't make simple decisions for themselves about things that totally don't concern me at all, like when should their group meet up with a certain group of other people - and even giving me their time-frame - when really I've given them all the information I can and I'm stupidly busy, and they have to have some competence and make SOME decision on their own. It's not that difficult, folks!
Trying to deal with 37 people here, and just been told I have to give a lecture to 60 students with an hour's notice.
On the plus side, Itzacon will be fun, and its the last fully college organised gaming trip that I have to organise while on the committee - and next year I'm FREE! Huzzah!

Things have calmed, and been sorted. I hope to sleep for more than an hour and a bit tonight, and start eating properly too.
Times are busy. Leprecon was full of madness and fun at the weekend - although there were some altercations too. I'm glad that it went well though, and that I managed to drag a bunch of folks up to it - who for the most part seem happy with their weekends too! (I've not talked to all of them yet)
I'm more optimistic now, anyways...

Most probably the worst birthday I've had...
Oh well...
Edit: I was correct about my previous LJ entry anyways!

Good mood evaporated, things just don't seem to be going right this evening. I've got 15-16 people going to Leprecon, 35 going to Itzacon, I gave a lecture and got to a Warpcon meeting today - things have been quite productive. I just can't help but feel like there will be tears in the near future...
I'm in a very good mood this morning...
I'm really looking forward to Leprecon tomorrow, and also can't wait til next Wednesday night cos I'm totally in a cocktail frame of mind after reading the menu for Suas Cocktail bar in Cork: http://www.suasbar.com/pdf/drinksmenu.p df
I'm going there with some of my workmates next week as they want to celebrate my birthday - or really they want an excuse to go get drunk! Either or which is fine by me :)
I'm pondering buying myself a new portable harddrive for my birthday (the last one exploded), but I'm not sure whether I want to buy one with a separate power source, or one that's powered by the USB itself. I totally would prefer not to have to carry a plug for it around with me, but I'm unsure as to whether the one charging from the USB would be much slower to work than the other one. I figure that could totally just be my imagination though!

Yesterday was made of pancakes, melted chocolate and girly chats about boys!
All in all, a good day! I think I need lots of tea today though...

Multitools are SO handy!
Gmail doesn't seem to want to work today and OH MY GOD! The amount of work I've got done already this morning, just because of lack of IM on Gchat is insane.
Today is Pancake Tuesday, one of my favourite days of the year! Pancakes being my favourite food and all - yum! :D
I am a happy Noirin...om nom nom!

I'm also in a very colourful mood lately. I'm mostly wearing all of the colours of the rainbow - and enjoying my bright coloured cons!
I have also realised I have far too many shoes - I'm such a girl!

I wrote a blog entry yesterday, and the browser crashed and I lost it - and couldn't be bothered writing it again!
Saturday night, I really felt the urge to just stay up all night long, until the morning got bright, and spend the majority of it dancing. This is a strange urge for me, as I usually don't do the whole dancing thing, but I went to bed at around 3 instead, and slept really well. I've gotten back into the swing of things with sleep.
Saturday, in Dublin, was a good day. Actually the whole weekend was great, so relaxing and I feel really rested today! Saturday was particularly fun though. It was cool to hang out with kshandr and Elliot, and have lots of tea and biscuits! :) There was some acting, and some selfconsciousness, computer games and outside that there was some comic book reading, and some other strange things that day. I like to have new experiences, so it was a good day for me. I'm excited to see how things turn out. On Saturday, even though I wanted to stay up all night, I was pretty damn tired when it came to bedtime!
I've been reading a lot of comics lately...V for Vendetta, Watchmen, Y:The Last Man, Fables, The Goon, and League of Extraordinary Gentlemen amongst others. I've also been writing a good bit, and wanting to play music a lot. Though this morning I woke up and decided I wanted to play the piano (cos I'm in a Muse mood. When I listen to Muse, I want to play Muse). So firstly, I couldn't find the piano. Then, when I found it, it was facing a wall, with furniture stacked behind it - and most probably out of tune because it's been moved. No Piano for Noirin.
I made up for this my having coco-pops for breakfast - which is pretty bold - and trying to play the flute, though I can only get a few notes out of it. I think I may have to resort to lessons of some sort!
The family house is still all muddled up, but I've spent a lot of time sorting my things out, and I have a few bags full of things that I'm going to either give away to folks or donate to charity shops. It's stuff I don't really need or use, but hopefully somebody else will get some semblance of enjoyment out of them!
It's Fergal's birthday today, Happy birthday fergalmonster!

Just realised I was really excited about Pancake Tuesday next week.
Then that I haven't eaten all day, hence a good reason for the excitement...I'm really hungry, but not feeling it for some reason.
Gonna go find food now.

Hmmm, I haven't posted in about a month! I suppose I've been busy, but I can't think of a huge amount of things that I've been doing.
