'Kay so, Christmas lights...
I do actually like them! I love the pretty little ones that look like icicles, or the one that looks like a small reindeer in the garden or even some of the tasteful multicoloured ones that are available...

But C'mon, some people go totally overboard with their Christmas lighting, and it's so early too! I've already seen a few houses that are totally overdone...and it's only going to get worse as Christmas grows nigh...

I remember watching the news around Christmas time last year, and there was a feature on a man from Japan, whose house had the highest amount of Christmas lights in the world. People flock from miles around to visit it every year, and fair deuce to him, he does go for it to the extent that he actually gets on the news with it...not many people can say that!
But in all fairness: It costs him £100,000 (sterling) a year to pay for the electricity bill, and with all this, he never turns on any lights or appliances in the house while the lights are up as it would add to the cost...and this could even be fair enough if he was a crazy old man living alone, but he has a little kid, who has to do his homework by candlelight every night cos his dad won't let him turn the light on!p
The poor kid...man, some people really have to think about their priorities!

But anyways, to my point, there is one other thing that REALLY annoys me with Christmas lights every year!
There can be cool ones, with Santa in a sleigh and two reindeer up in front and their legs flash alternately to look as if they're moving, which are fine! But *WHAT IS THE DEAL* with the ones that some people have on their roofs where, instead of the legs moving, the antlers flash on and off!?! Why? I mean...why have the antlers flashing on and off at all? It would look fine if they just sat there and nothing flashed...if the whole thing flashed...if the legs flashed to look like they're moving...but, antlers?! It makes no sense! Its just silly!
